Kristen Averyt – Executive Vice President at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and a globally respected climate scientist.

As a contributing scientist to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Kristen shared in the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize awarded jointly to the IPCC and Al Gore.

Before AGU, Averyt worked in the Executive Office of the President (Biden Administration), Council on Environmental Quality, where she served as Director for Drought and Western Resilience.

Her career has been dedicated to advancing climate science, resilience and evidence-based solutions.
