WHAT'S THE STORY
In a world of constant change, how can the Business Events industry lead the way in delivering solutions that create meaningful impact — for our organisations, our communities, and the wider world?
We are at a decisive moment. Now is the time for clear action, fresh thinking, and genuine collaboration. Convene 4 Climate (C4C) 26 — presented by PCMA, the Strategic Alliance of National Convention Bureaus of Europe (SANCBE), and a network of committed collaborators — is where innovation meets industry expertise to address the defining challenges of our time.
C4C brings together thought leaders, changemakers, and innovators from across the Business Events sector and beyond to:
• Exchange ideas that inspire progress.
• Forge partnerships that create new opportunities.
• Design practical, scalable strategies to strengthen our industry’s positive impact.
Launched in 2024, C4C has already shown the industry’s appetite for transformation. Our research and conversations reveal that organisations are eager to rally their teams, explore new business models, and adopt strategies that enable them to thrive — while delivering lasting value.

2025 HOST EVENT PARTNER
Our Commitment
At Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam, sustainability is driven by energy – from the food we serve to the way we power our buildings. We aim to give back more energy than we consume and continuously improve our impact on both people and the planet. Our approach focuses on reducing emissions, supporting our teams, and working with sustainable partners to create a lasting, measurable impact.
Postillion Hotels Sustainability Projects:
- Reducing food waste
Our menus feature seasonal and local ingredients to cut food miles and avoid overproduction. By serving portioned meals per person, we significantly reduce waste. Smart sourcing and careful planning help us minimise leftover food even further.
- Sourcing locally and prioritising plant-based choices
Through our upcoming Plant First initiative, 50% of our menu is already plant-based, and from July 2025, plant-based will become the default. CO₂ from animal-based meals will be offset, with all proceeds going to the Meetings for Trees program.
- Towards smarter energy and water use
Postillion is phasing out gas by 2026 and installing solar panels at every location. We monitor our energy and water usage closely and set annual targets for reduction. Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam is BREEAM-certified, underlining our commitment to sustainable buildings.
- Empowering our people
We support the growth of our team through free access to GoodHabitz, a €1,500 study budget, and €2.50 per hour toward student loan repayment. Employees also benefit from mental health support and financial coaching. This focus on well-being has earned us the Great Place To Work certification.
- Driven by data
Postillion is currently implementing tools like BeCause, D2O, BrightGreen, and PMI Go Green to track our environmental and social impact. These insights help us to manage our impact and continuously improve.

SINGAPORE TOURISM BOARD
About Us
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) developed a vision for Singapore to become a City in Nature, where Large Experiences come with Small Footprints. Our strategy consists of three focus areas, to be executed in close collaboration between the Government and tourism sector.
a) Becoming a sustainable urban destination
- Pursue Sustainability Certification
- Develop Sustainable products and experiences
b) Building a sustainable tourism sector
- Leverage innovation to support sustainable tourism outcomes
- Build the sustainability-related capabilities of our workforce
c) Showcasing Singapore as a sustainable urban destination
Our Commitment
Singapore is a City in nature where large experiences come with small footprints. By embedding sustainability across the MICE ecosystem and fostering collaboration between event organisers, government and suppliers, we aim to lead Asia Pacific’s sustainable MICE sector while minimising environmental impact and shaping a greener future for events with lasting legacies.
Singapore Tourism Board Sustainability Projects
One of the targets of our MICE sustainability roadmap is to ‘Start tracking waste and carbon emissions by 2023, reduce waste and achieve net zero emissions by 2050’. In the MICE venue sustainability playbook published in 2024, we reported on the findings of our waste and carbon emissions baseline study in 2023, where the average MICE venue-related carbon emissions per attendee was 14.13kgCO2, and 94% of MICE venue-related emissions is attributed to Energy.
