Silja Manninen brings a powerful blend of design innovation and sustainability to Convene 4 Climate 2025 in Rotterdam. A London-based fashion educator, and circularity advocate originally from Finland, Silja has built her career at the intersection of fashion, creativity, and environmental responsibility. 

Her work is described in her own words as “derelict decadence,” and her designs have been showcased at the V&A Museum, sold at Coco de Mer, and featured in British Vogue, The Guardian, and more.

At C4C 25, Silja will lead an interactive session featuring waste artefacts, demonstrating how the Jimmy Choo Academy embeds sustainability and circular economy principles into design education and practice. With her deep expertise in creative problem-solving and zero-waste garment ideation, Silja will inspire participants to rethink how waste can become a resource to develop innovations and drive new revenue streams.
